Rule 6 makes it clear that rules 1 to 5 are mere fun and pun. If only it weren't so horribly sad. Rules 1 to 5 are rules for Newspeak, the official language of Oceania. And if one doesn't get that, one's agency for critical thought is so blurred that one most probably is there already.
