Contrary to what I thought when I was a student, and even in my young adult years, making your life worth living is not difficult.

I used to look for consolation and meaning in philosophy. Which brought me on a journey to all corners of the world. Until I found that it was not the philosophy or any knowable meaning that would add value to my life. It was the journey.

So what are the habits that helped me on that journey?

1 I practice curiosity

Curiosity is the foundation of a happy and meaningful life. Some will tell you that you have to keep looking for the self within. That your curiosity should be directed inward. I do get this. I ‘ve been there and I’ve done that. But it was the moment in my life that I decided to stop digging deep and deeper, and I started looking out and outer, that my life took a turn for the better.

What I discovered is something that Adler was right about. Leading an interesting life is basically an experiment with relationships and activities.

I keep challenging myself to keep broadening the scope of my curiosity: in people, places, circumstances, events, phenomena. In everything.
