Creative Leadership workshop with Rama Gheerawo hosted by DesignSingapore Council

Rama is on tour — and when he is, one doesn’t want to miss out on an opportunity to meet up with the likes of inspiring people among whom he ranks. All one needs is a prompt, this time materializing in the form of an invitation sent out by DesignSingapore Council to join Rama in a workshop on Creative Leadership.

The very least one can say is that Rama Gheerawo has been leaving a mark as a Director at The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, Royal College of Art, London. The center focuses on inclusive design processes and projects, and linking these to developments in Design Thinking and Creative Leadership. One of the truly novel things that the center is currently working on is a Design Age Institute (DAI), with a public forum called This Age Thing — going under the header that the good news is we’re living longer.

In all this, the focus areas of Rama Gheerawo as a designer are in line with the legacy of Lady Helen Hamlyn (née Helen Guest). Helen is a prominent designer and advocate for inclusive design, a term she so much as coined.
