This whole situation is utterly unbearable. Everything about it is "America" and couldn't happen (at this scale, this frequency) anywhere else. This is what "American exceptionalism" really means. And it doesn't deserve the word "civilization". It's barbaric. And any "state" maintaining this status and doing nothing is nothing but a deeply and profoundly failed state.

To think that this is a country with more guns than people. Even Afghanistan and Yemen are safer options.
